SOme help would be appreciated.īUT otherwise GREAT work! It's pretty good now. He posts the same players and teams like 3 times. The guy who posted it doesn't do it really in a clear fashion. I don't understand the shot tendencies at all in the link you provided playmaker. Most reviewer's don't have time to jack around with sliders and ratings and therefor if the game had got a 6 or 7 per say IGN out of the box if they were allowed to recieve a copy of Live that was edited or tweaked much better for game play I'd say that 6 or 7 score could easily go up to 7.5 or 8.0.which is one of the reason's why I wish EA specifically had guy's in their QA department that did nothing but test play the game 1-2 months before relasing it. I think if more people really saw how the game plays with better assigned ratings to the players in general the game might have recieved more posistive feedback this year. It's a great idea but for those who want better game play out of the box EA's ratings hurt the game more than they help it. I think what EA was trying to accomplish was to have the user build up the ratings of the players through dynasty mode by training them to get better. Great job, it really makes Live 08 worth playing! Some of the ratings for players are still bad, but I managed to edit those to my liking. Really makes a huge difference in the game. Lamrock93 wrote:Amazing Rosters and Sliders. I guess it's more of pick your poison as to which one you prefer seeing in your games. I've found that by increasing the Layup Percentage Slider it reduces those things but it also leads to some layups that they pull out their azz and make.īased on that fact i'd rather see the impossible layups more often than the stupid blown layups by the AI that hit the side of backboards or the bottom of the rim. If you set it too low the CPU will start shooting layups that hit the bottom of the rim way too much or even shoot behind the backdoor on occasion. In regards to the Layup Percentage Slider. Guy's like D.Wade, LBJ and Kobe if they get into paint are going to draw fouls plain and simple and that was what I wanted to see more of out of the CPU. I got sick of the CPU only shooting 8-10 FT's per game, maybe it was my style of play but in reality if you check NBA.com the league avg over the last two years is closer to 20+ FT attempts per game for each team. Most guy's looked lazy not in terms of straight ahead speed but in terms of getting to a spot when you called a play, 30 wasn't too fast and if you play 7-9 minute QTR's it would be pretty good using that speed. I went back and forth between 7, 8 & 9 and finally decided on 9 minutes because it provided the best balance in terms of scores being more varied between 100 points and 80-90 point games.Įvery time I went lower something just didn't feel right in the halfcourt set. The added speed ratings help but the camera keeps up with the action pretty darn good and it renders a nice view of most of the court. The players move pretty good for me using this view. My personal setting is Press Box 10-Height without any zoom (Just play 1-2 games and watch how clearly you see the CPU setting up plays). I know the game looks good up close but I'm a firm believer it moves better the further your away from the action. The changes I made are listed here with explanations as to why i made the changes: It's up to you to find a happy setting that caters to your playing style.as you all know sliders are based on the individual's style of play more than anything. I posted the wrong changes initially here's the new one's for the Sliders.
